What is Hypnotherapy?


Hypnotherapy is a combination of techniques which includes hypnosis, relaxation and visualisation which are used to bring about positive change.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focus and heightened awareness brought about by relaxation. We all go into hypnosis on a daily basis, which is similar to daydreaming, and anybody can be hypnotised, with exception of those under the influence of drugs or those with a severe learning impairment.

During hypnosis you are completely safe and in control at all times, as a hypnotherapist can neither control your mind nor make you do anything you don't want to do..
In hypnotherapy your therapist is able to, only with your permission, make suggestions to your unconscious mind in order to make lasting positive change in any area of life you want.

Hypnotherapy has many uses and is available in, though not limited to, the following areas;
